Qinghai News, China Kingho  (Correspondent Yang Shengcang) The ponding drainage work and road surface interception work for Muli Coal Mine Pit of 2014 were carried out as planned recently. With thorough discussion and demonstration of Water Pumping and Drainage Implementation Scheme for Muli Coal Mine of 2014, under the guidance of the coal mine leaders and in collaboration with the functional offices, the pipe erection, pipeline direction and road surface interception location were determined in a science-based manner through overall investigation into the construction site with the construction scheme taking into consideration. Through joint efforts of all functional offices, three pumps have been erected and brought into use in Third West Mining Area and Six West Mining Area. The works was completed 1 month in advance compared with that of last year.
The mine leaders made deployment of the water pumping and drainage works in advance, and asked the functional offices to check the water pumping and draining materials, apply for purchase of necessities, and maintain and withdraw the water pump; to ensure the suitability and operability of the scheme and the site, the mine leaders guided the team to investigate the site, find problems and determine the pipeline direction. They discussed and made improvement to the water pumping and drainage implementation scheme over and over again and the level-2 booster pump, floater and water clarification and other methods were proposed, so as to make the pumping of pit ponding faster. With regard to management, the responsible persons of the offices would go on a tour of inspection at irregular intervals, and the plug-men would inspect the pipeline at regular intervals, while the quality inspectors would check operation condition of the water pump so as to ensure smooth operation of the water drainage and pumping. As for the difficulty of insufficient labor and construction team equipment, the responsible person of the Mechanical Power Office was appointed for commanding the dispatch of labor and equipment, and other functional offices should also send workers for assistance actively to help pull, carry and erect pipelines. Through joint efforts in the first half month, many difficulties were overcome, and the erection of pipelines and installation of pumps in the Third Area and Sixth Area were finished, and they were brought into operation after several rounds of commissioning. Currently, the pumping and draining volumes in the mine pits in the Third Area and Sixth Area kept steady and the water level has dropped remarkably.
